Good morning, readers! I showed you the press release for this new Zoya Awaken Collection at the beginning of the year and I've been patiently waiting for the release. Finally, they have arrived! 3 gorgeous shimmer metallics, 2 creams, a frosty gold, and an iridescent glitter topper make up the collection.
Zoya Dillion: a mint green shimmer metallic.
2 coats with no top coat shown below. You may prefer three coats, in some lighting I could "see through" the tips a bit.
Zoya Rebel: a blue sky shimmer metallic.
2 coats with no top coat shown below. As with Dillon, you may prefer three coats.
Zoya Hudson: a purple orchid shimmer metallic.
2 coats with no top coat shown below. As with the 2 other metallics, you may prefer three coats depending on how thick your coats are.
Zoya Brooklyn: a frosty gold shimmer.
2 coats without top coat shown below. The formula is frosty and you can't really get away from brush strokes showing in the final product.
Zoya Dot: a pink petal cream.
3 coats shown below with no top coat. (This was originally released with Zang Toi's SS14 collection.)
Zoya Cole: a peach whisper cream.
3 coats shown below with no top coat. (This was originally released with Peter Som's SS14 Collection.)
Zoya Monet: multicolor, cellophane iridescent topper.
One coat shown over Cole. The formula is on the thicker side but the glitters spread fairly well. The iridescent glitters kind of disappear on these lighter spring colors and would look better over a darker color.
There they are! What do you think of this new spring collection by Zoya? Personally, I love the shimmer metallics! They are beautiful, shimmery, and some of my favorite colors! The lighter creams unsurprisingly needed three coats to even them out, but the colors are pretty. Which are your favorites?
